Tom , who was a coach for the Mets in 1977, appeared in the big leagues briefly for the Cardinals in 1954 and the Los Angeles Angels in 1962 as an outfielder and first baseman. He is a member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. He showed up in several minor league card sets in the 1980s, as well as this sample, from the 1979 TCMA Richmond Braves set.
