Alex arrived in New York preceded by more hype than any Mets' outfield prospect since Jay Payton, or maybe even Darryl Strawberry. Before he could show whether he was worth the hoopla, however, he was sent to Cleveland in the Roberto Alomar deal. The card shown here is from 2000 Bowman's Best.
